I recently painted these as a gift for a friend who just had a baby boy. A couple of months ago I started dabbling in watercolours and since I love the Beatrix Potter style of painting I naturally migrated to imitating (and in this case) directly copying some of her pictures. Painting with watercolours has been satisfying in ways that painting with acrylics wasn’t. I think the fact that it is more fluid and tends to work with my ideas (once I discovered some of the tricks of the trade) helps it to be more therapeutic for me. Actually, dipping my brush in it some more today is sounding like a pretty good idea …
